Which one is better? Samsung Galaxy s2 or iPhone 4?
With today's cutting edge technology, in range of smartphones, Samsung and Apple Inc are major competitors. Both have launched their brand new smartphones Samsung Galaxy s2 and Apple iPhone4 respectively with the price above 30,000. Moreover, they are on the radars when someone think of purchasing a new smartphone, but it gets hard to make a choice. Well in this article, we will compare both Samsung Galaxy s2 and iPhone 4 in order to check which one is best.
Samsung Galaxy s2 vs iPhone 4
Point 1: Looks & Feel
When it come to looks of both handsets, Galaxy s2 gives a cheaper look compared to iPhone4. But it has few advantages over iPhone due to its plastic which deals with falls in better way because of its flexibility. On the other side, iPhone doesn't perform well against falls and bumps.
For usage, iPhone may be very comfortable and quite handy whereas, Galaxy s2 may seems big in the hands of people with small palms.
Point 2: Screen resolution & Display
Because of the powerfull AMOLED plus technology, screen of s2 is drop-dead gorgeous. Compared to 3.5 inch screen of iPhone 4, its screen size is 4.3-inch. Additionally, color pop out is another benefit in s2.
But when it comes to screen resolution, iPhone 4 is better. It supports screen resolution of 960x640 while s2 has screen resolution of 800x480. It gives a sharper display to iPhone 4. Indeed, text looks sharper in iPhone 4, else, for all other things, s4 is much more better. In s4, there is not issue regarding the screen responsiveness unlike other android smart phones. A better and large screen size is a better advantage for web browsing and videos in s2.
Point 3: iOS vs Android
As we know, Samsung Galaxy s2 runs on Android OS which is manipulated or curomized by TouchWiz 4.0. On the other side, iPhone 4 runs on iOS 4.3. Both of these operating systems have their own advantages as well as disadvantages. Lets come to iPhone 4 first. It is simple, reliable and much more efficient use. It has few long presses and rest all is what you see on the screen. You don't need to play much in complex with iPhone 4.
But, for androids, same simplicity may not appeal well. Although, many of settings are easy to access and use but if you are computer user then you will not have any trouble in using s2. Host of opportunities is opened by Android for power users which gives a truly magical experience.
On both s2 and iPhone 4, navigation, browsing and App speed is same. Before, regarding web browsing, there used to have sort of problem with Android smartphones, but it no longer exists. In Additional, Android handsets comes with flash content support in web browsers which is not yet supported by iPhone 4.
Point 4: Camera Quality
iPhone 4 has just a 5 mega pixel camera whereas, s2 has a camera of 8 mega pixels. For video recording, iPhone can manage a video recording with just 720p whereas s2 has the capability to record decent quality full HD videos.
Point 5: Video play comparison
s2 is the one of best smartphones in market for playing videos. While iPhone can play only 720p videos depending on the used codec and encoding quality, s2 hands down to the best. In 1080p, s2 is capable of handling all types of video formats and codecs.
Point 6: Apps & Addons
In term of Apps, Apple supports better environment with large number of supported applications compared to its competitors. On Android, you may not find few Apps which you want. Moreover, there is sort of quality problem with games on Android which is not there in iPhone 4.
Point 7: Price of s2 is approx Rs. 32,890/- which is very rightly priced whereas, iPhone 4 comes for rs. 34,500/- which is overpriced as per its functions. What I believe is that the natural competitor to Samsung Galaxy s2 will be iPhone 5.
